The Rahsaz Subsurface Structures Engineering Research Group, founded by Dr. Sadegh Tariq Azali as the founder and director of this group, was established with the aim of providing innovative solutions in the fields of engineering geology, geotechnics, and infrastructure engineering. Focusing on projects related to tunneling, underground structures, and groundwater management, this group seeks to create a positive transformation in the country’s infrastructure industry. Our main mission is to investigate and manage geological and groundwater hazards in major national projects such as mountain highways, rail and railroad systems, metro lines and stations, underground caverns, subsurface mineral spaces, water and energy transmission channels, urban underpasses, and mechanized and traditional tunnels. Using advanced risk analysis and optimal design methods, we help our employers and clients complete their projects with maximum safety, lowest cost, and in the shortest possible time.
